What kind of woods do you work with? We work with hardwoods and some select softwoods. We can also add custom powder coated metal elements and epoxy finishes as well as vinyls, acrylics, and coloured lacquers on items like mdf cabinetry. For more information refer to our lumber selection page.
What is the process for designing and making my furniture? How long does it take? The whole process begins with an inquiry through our contact page, linked below. After receiving this we will communicate with you and create a rendering. This can be edited as many times as you wish until we settle upon a final design. Work will begin depending on booking times and level of work in our shop. You will receive a notification from us once work begins on your project. About a week later you will receive a follow up message to set up a time to pick colour through are in shop selection. This is also the final review stage and will be the time during which you can see your finalized project and make any changes. (changes are not included in original quote)
What’s your warrenty? We offer a 2 year warranty. This covers any mistakes made on are end including faulty stain or large checking in the wood etc. Blemishes created by using the products out side of intended use will not be covered under the warranty, however we can repair and refinish the products for a fee. The majority of our products are solid stock and can be refinished well.
What’s your return policy? The deposit covers the cost of lumber and, as such, is non-refundable. Custom furniture is final sale however we will do our best to make a product that exceeds your expectations. Also note that there are 2 stages of customer review of the project throughout the process
What if I change my design plan after construction starts? We are definitely willing to accommodate! Custom furniture is custom and done to your liking, the only thing that cannot be guaranteed is that the price will remain the same. Upon editing the design a new quote and rendering will be formulated to meet your requests,
Do you offer delivery? We offer deliver for $300 within the Calgary area through professional movers. There is also the option of personal pick up at the shop. Of course, we are not liable for damage in transport with self pick up.
Can you build something based on a picture? Absolutely! Re-creating furniture from your favourite images is our specialty. Furthermore, you can rest assured that your custom piece is made to the highest standards of quality, using only select materials, which is generally of a higher quality than is offered in retail stores.
How does payment work? After the design is finalized, we require a 50% deposit before beginning work. The balance of payment is due after the project is finished and before shipping. We accept cash, credit and e-transfer.
Do you offer colour matching? Yes, through industrial coating specialists we can guarantee a perfect colour match on any item that you would like. We can also offer any sheen level ranging from matte to gloss and anything in between.
